Waking the Fallen- Avenged Sevenfold

Esse CD do 'Avenged Sevenfold' na minha opinião é mais interessante do que o anterior, o 'Sounding the Seventh Trumpet', pelos vários motivos que considerei negativos nesse que são bem melhorados nesse disco que vou criticar agora. A gravação em comparação com a outra não faço nem comentário (brincadeira, é claro que vou fazer comentários porque senão a crítica fica muito pequena). Vamos dizer que nesse álbum adotaram uma nova técnica, ficar dentro do ritmo. Depois da primeira experiência com a estrada eles finalmente a fazer uma música com total qualidade. A distorção da guitarra é desta vez limpa e audível, tanto que em faixas como 'Remenissions' uma distorção acústica aparece no refrão, e tem um solo com harmonias de notas. Até os power chords são bem gravados, com um nível de categoria muito superior ao álbum anterior! O baixo melhorou da água ao vinho, pois ele dá a base da música acompanhando a guitarra rítmica. A bateria trabalha muito melhor técnicas com os dois pedais, viradas, blast beats e outras coisas. As BPM rapidíssimas podemos notar na faixa 'Eternal Rest', que além de ter uma batida de bateria célere, tem harmonias vocais muito inteligentes, que é enquanto uma pessoa canta uma coisa os backing vocals cantam outra, com letras diferentes e tudo (mas irei tratar dos vocais mais tarde). Em torno das viradas, ou em outras palavras, os improvisos, o baterista James Sullivan mandou bem, sempre bem ligeiro e preciso. Realmente foi um ótimo trabalho e gostaria de parabenizar a NRG Recordings, que em 2003 propiciou uma grande gravação à uma banda de grande sucesso atualmente. Os vocais desta vez mais bem divididos, se separam melhor em cantoria limpa e gritaria Metalcore, onde o vocalista Matt Shadows consegue executar ambos muito bem, as vezes até brincando, fazendo harmonias vocais com esses dois tipos de vozes. Quando ele resolve cantar, consegue alcançar qualquer tipo de tom. Isso que eu acho interessante nele, poder cantar variando de altura e intensidade, até gritar em certo ponto. Nesse disco, as músicas são bastante criativas. Podemos ver o uso constante do piano e certas vezes, como em 'I Won't See You Tonight (pt. 1)', violoncelos, fazendo com que a música tenha um aspecto sentimental, a música fica muito bonita. A outros pontos criativos são os riffs das música que acabam por se tornar hits em todo o mundo. Também as letras que levam como tema a religião e versos bíblicos, e deixa a música mais legal prestar atenção nas letras. O que seria essencial nesse CD são as músicas 'Unholy Confessions' que é muito bacana, 'Chapter Four' também é muito boa, 'Remenissions', principalmente o refrão desta, 'Second Heartbeat', que juntamente com as anteriores demonstra perfeitamente a variação dos estilos vocalísticos, para finalizar 'I Won't See You Tonight', nove minutos de puro sentimentalismo e lindeza, que junto ao uso do piano e do violoncelo se torna uma das músicas mais bonitas do álbum.

This CD by 'Avenged Sevenfold' in my opinion is way more interesting than its predecessor, 'Sounding the Seventh Trumpet’, for various reasons that I considered negative in the last one, that are much improved on this record that I will now criticize. The recording in comparison with the other I won’t even comment (just kidding, of course I'll comment because if the criticism becomes too small it won’t be interesting). Let's say that this album took a new technique, get into the rhythm. After the first experience of entering in the road they finally made songs with total quality. The guitar distortion is audible and clean this time, so much, that on tracks like 'Remenissions' an acoustic distortion appears in the chorus, and has a solo with harmonies of notes. Even the power chords are well done, with a category level much higher than the previous album! The bass improved like from water to the wine, because it gives the basis of the song accompanying the rhythm guitar. The drum works much better with two pedals techniques, fills, blast beats and stuff. The BPM are extremely fast in the track 'Eternal Rest', which besides having a fast drum beat, has very clever vocal harmonies, while a person is singing something else sing the backing vocals, with different lyrics and everything (but I will talk about the vocals later). On the fills, or in other words, improvisation, the drummer James Sullivan goes well, and always light and precise. It really was a great job and I would like to congratulate NRG Recordings, which in 2003 led to a great recording of a great success band today. The vocals this time are better divided, split up best in clean singing and Metalcore shouting, where the lead singer Matt Shadows can do both very well, sometimes doing vocal harmonies with those two types of voices. When he decides to sing, can achieve any sort of tone. That's what I find interesting in Matt, being able to sing varying tone and intensity, to screaming at certain point. In this disc, the songs are very creative. We can see the constant use of piano and some times, as in 'I Will not See You Tonight (pt. 1),' cellos, this song has a sentimental aspect, the music is very beautiful. The other creative points are the riffs of the songs that eventually became hits around the world. Also, the lyrics that take up the topic of religion and Bible verse. The song stays cooler when you pay attention to them. What would be essential on this CD are the songs 'Unholy Confessions' which is very cool, 'Chapter Four' is also very good, 'Remenissions', especially the chorus, 'Second Heartbeat', which together with the previous perfectly demonstrates the variation of singing styles, to finish 'I Will not See You Tonight', nine minutes of pure prettiness and sentimentality, which together with the use of piano and cello becomes one of the prettiest songs on the album.
